Benji

BENJI has gone to a new foster/hopefully forever home. This little guy has female protection issues and has had difficulty finding a new home.

He was placed in a home last year but as in his original home, he tried to keep his Mum safe and nipped someone visiting. Well Benji now has a new home with a new Dad and twin cats as brothers! He seems to adore his new Dad and goes for 3 long walks everyday which he loves! No competition from little two-legged family members and his Dad’s sole attention. He is on a 3 month foster period placement and at the end of that time his Dad will be able to adopt him if all goes well.

Current Rescues

We have a new little rescue who has just come into rescue. She is almost 2.
This lovely little girl came into rescue and is settling right in to her new foster/hopefully forever home!
She is a very active little girl who loves everybody. (Please note: this girl is already in a foster home and hopefully her forever home)

BELLA is a very sweet 13 year old little senior who has recently developed skin issues. Bella has lived in a Seniors Residence with her elderly parents and unfortunately when her skin issues developed, it became too difficult for them to manage with the frequent baths, etc. Other than skin issues, Bella is a very healthy little girl. She has been placed in a home with another 7 year old westie named Murphy. The dogs are getting along very well and Bella is currently spending a month in the Gulf Islands with her new Mum and Murphy. Because of her age and skin issues, Bella will most likely remain a Permanent Rescue.

SNOWBALL is our newest rescue. She is a very sweet little 11 year old girl who originally came from a puppy mill. She has had severe skin issues for several years. Her family has struggled with the huge expense of her care and have done the best they could. They decided that it was in Snowball’s best interests to let her go to a new home with a different environment and Westie Rescue of Canada picking up the bills for her care. Snowball has gone to live with some wonderful folks who have a 15 year old rescue from us that they have had since he was 3. She is off to new adventures and hopefully a better quality of life as her skin condition improves.

Meet Cooper (6 years) and Zoe (11) two of our recent rescues.Their family reached out to rescue when their owners developed health issues and could no longer care for them.

Zoe required a dental cleaning and several extractions which of course Westie Rescue of Canada took care of.

She bounced right back from her dental work and is otherwise a healthy and happy girl.

Cooper just celebrated his 6th birthday in August and is a healthy and active boy.This dynamic due are a bonded pair who love playing with each other and must stay together.They are settling in well in their foster home, hopefully to be their forever home.
